Welcome to the Leatherhead Orchestra - a community orchestra founded in 1954.

We are a friendly amateur orchestra made up of enthusiastic members from the Surrey area who play together on Wednesday evenings from 8-10 pm during term time at the Leatherhead Institute.

We welcome players of all standards, and our goal is to play for pleasure, while improving as we do. Our repertoire includes classical and film music, plus seasonal favourites. We sometimes invite guest performers as part of our three end-of-term concerts, led by our conductor Anthony Bonello.

If you’re considering playing in an amateur orchestra, please come and give us a try. Maybe you’ve taken out an instrument that you used to play and are discovering your music memory or are learning a second instrument. Whatever the reason, you’ll find that playing in an orchestra will enhance both your learning and enjoyment. We particularly need more strings, brass and percussion, but all instruments are welcome.

Email us at the address below to let us know who you are. You’ll be glad you did – we’re a nice orchestra to be a part of and we look forward to meeting you.
